Once I qualify as a CO what happens next?
Once you receive your certification you are now ready to work under the Get Organised banner. You would have received step-by-step information on how to do this in your training. If there is already a Franchisee in your area, you will meet with them and can choose to shadow them at one or more organising sessions. If there is no Franchisee operating in your area yet, you will be appointed a mentor to consult with.

On qualifying do I become part of Get Organised or am I independent?
You are now part of the team. You run your own business under the name of “Get Organised” and based on the procedures we cover in the course and the conditions of the Get Organised Certified Professional Organiser agreement.

How many Get Organised Certified Professional Organisers will there be per area?
In each area there will be one Franchisee who will act as your mentor and support. There is room for between 5 and 10 CO’s per area. This figure is dependant on the particular area that you are servicing and the type of services offered by the COs operating in that area.

Does my certification expire?
Yes, on certification you are entitled to run your Get Organised business for a period of 12 calendar months. At the end of this period you are welcome to apply for an extension for additional annual periods (without limit). You will need to pay an annual royalty fee of R 1500 per annum to Head Office in order to remain licensed to operate under a Get Organised business.

What other fees am I liable to pay?
Besides your training fee and annual renewal you are required to pay a turnover fee of 10% of your gross monthly organising session income (with a minimum of R500 per month) to the Franchisee (or foster Franchisee or appointed mentor) for the full duration of your association with Get Organised as a CO. This monthly fee is payable from the third month after you certify (i.e.: you will only be liable to make 10 payments for your first year)

How does your referral system work?
Once you are certified your Franchisee (or mentor, appointed mentor or head office) can refer potential one-on-one residential or business clients, product sales or free half hour promotional workshops on to you – there will be no additional fee payable for this. Your mentor will work referrals on a rotational basis.

Who is responsible for advertising/marketing my services?
Your Franchisee will pay a monthly fee to the Get Organised Head Office marketing account which will be used to market Get Organised nationally. Head office, Franchisees and certified organisers are expected to promote the company continually whenever possible. You will also be expected to attend networking sessions to promote your own services and details of how to do this will be presented in detail in your training. Any additional advertising/marketing will be for your own account.

Do I have to work full time?
As a certified organiser you do not need to work full time. Obviously, the more effort you put in the more rewards you get out – there is however no stipulation on the amount of hours you have to work per month.

Once certified, what support will I get?
Support for COs is ongoing. You will receive mentorship from your Franchisee (or mentor) on an as needed basis. There is an open line of communication between the CO and Franchisee via email and telephone – should you not be able to make contact with the Franchisee (or foster mentor) you are welcome to contact Head Office to address your query. Once a month you will be required to attend a working session with your mentor and other COs in your area. This session will be an education session and a platform for ongoing training and interactive learning. In addition to this, Head Office may periodically offer additional training sessions nationally.

Why should I not just make a go of it on my own?
Of course this is an option which you need to consider. Becoming a CO means you use the specific Get Organised formula for success. As part of Get Organised you take advantage of our mentorship program, additional income derived from our product sales, access to our established and respected (trademark pending) name and marketing material. As a CO you become part of a team of individuals, you are never alone.

What products will I be able to sell?
You will be able to sell the full range of products on offer by Get Organised. You will receive these directly from your Franchisee/Mentor at a discounted rate for you to sell on to your clients at a profit. You will not need to carry stock.

What happens if I don’t want to renew my certification at the end of a 12 month period?
You are under no obligation to renew your certification at the end of a 12 month period. If you no longer want to fall under the Get Organised banner you will need to notify your Mentor/Franchisee in writing by no later than the last day of the eleventh month of your 12 month period stating that you do not wish to renew your certification. After cancellation and at the end of the 12 month period you will no longer be entitled to use any of the Get Organised marketing and promotional material, PowerPoint presentations and logo. Your details will be removed from the Get Organised website and you will no longer be entitled to use any of the Get Organised material, products and services.

If after not renewing my certification I want to rejoin as a CO what do I do?
If at any stage after cancelling your certification you would like to rejoin as a CO you can notify Get Organised in writing of your intention. Get Organised has a right to accept or reject your application. Additional fees and/or training might be required.
